My Thoughts On Iron Man 2

I previously wrote a blog were I talked about how I was just about to leave to go see Iron Man 2 midnight showing on Thursday May 6th. I have seen gone to that showing and also another showing on Sunday May 9th. So basically you can figure out what I thought about the movie. If for some reason you did not get the picture, I loved the movie. So mush so that I saw it twice in it's opening weekend and plan on seeing it once or twice more in the upcoming weeks of it's theatrical run. Also if they do like they did on the DVD release of the last Iron Man movie then I will be going to the midnight release of the DVD whenever it comes out on DVD just like I did for the last Iron Man DVD release.

I thought the movie was amazing. It took everything good from the first and elevated it to the next level. The pacing was quite fast and there was no slow parts. The first movie had a few slow parts but eventually made up for them. In this sequel there was no slow parts, at least in my opinion. The common thing people keep on saying about the pace of the movie is that it is slow. In my opinion they believe it is slow because the entire movie didn't have Robert Downey Jr. being funny. It involved other good supporting characters that will help create a bigger universe for future installments. I thought all the supporting actors were very good. They were all able to stay at the same level as Robert Downey Jr. The comedy and action in this movie are a lot better then in the first one. I personally loved this movie and cannot understand why people don't like. I think people don't like it is because it is not a movie about Robert Downey Jr. instead it is a movie about the movies titular character Iron Man. I also think the people who did not like the movie as much as I did or even as much as the first movie are people who do not like comic book movies. Iron Man 2 is definitely a superhero comic book movie. It has a superhero universe, supporting characters that are there to help set up future projects, and it has crazy villains. The first movie was more of a movie that every one can enjoy because it mostly talked about the Tony Stark character and had only a few moments with Iron Man action. Besides what all the people who don't like comics say I think it was another movie set in the Marvel Movie Universe that adds more to the universe and makes me want to see the next movie set in this universe really bad. The next movie in this universe is Thor. Then after that is Captain America then all the Marvel movies released so far will culminate to one huge movie about the superhero team-up Avengers. This is exactly what every comic book lover is always been waiting and hoping for, I now I have been.
